Where we act:
The core region, Central Danube is dealing with, is located on the axis Vienna – Bratislava. We act in concentric circles and focus our business activities primarily on the countries Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.

The Twin City Liner

The most important project of Central Danube currently represents the TWIN CITY LINER. To get from the city center of Vienna to the city center of Bratislava quickly and without traffic jams – that is possible on the Danube by TWIN CITY LINER from Summer 2006. Central Danube has developed the project idea for this new high speed catamaran which provides a regular service. Since 2008 two boats are on the way up to ten times daily.

Energy Contracting

Energy Contracting is a finance model for energy efficiency projects. Energy and costs can be saved by technical and organizational activity. This enables for the conservation, improvement or renovation of facilities and buildings without approaching the budget of the private or public owner. The client is given the guarantee that the savings targets will be met. When the contract expires, the public authority assumes ownership of the investments (for example technical facilities) made by the contractor.

Who we are:

Central Danube Region Marketing & Development GmbH operates on behalf of two founding shareholders who early recognized the chances lying in cross-border activities in the new Europe.

The City of Vienna, represented by Wien Holding as founding shareholder, has extensive interest in extra-budgetary financial models on the one hand and in transnational infrastructure and transport projects with adjacent public bodies on the other. Therefore Central Danube was founded as a transnational realization-oriented platform for project development and potential investors in order to fulfill political goals more swiftly and effectively.

For the founding shareholder Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien, which has been playing an active role for many years in the EU accession countries, Central Danube is a prosperous implementation platform for sustainable Public Private Partnership models which directly influence the citizens’ quality of life and their mobility.
